There's definitely a thank you in order today. Yes, yes there really is.
But I can't for the life of me think of a clever or even slightly witty way to write this, so getting right to the point and without further ado, my headboards were posted on Design*Sponge today! I am thrilled, and on top of it I also got to meet the lovely Grace Bonnay, who, by the way, was wearing the most kick-ass boots I've ever seen; Uh, gold spikes? Yes please! So now with {happily} a little more on my plate than I can almost handle on my own {can anyone say interns needed?} I am back to work. Sorry downstairs neighbors! I know it's getting late but the chop saw must go on just a little bit longer tonight.
Thank you Design*Sponge team for such a wonderful post about my work! You gals are super-fantastical-amazingness and you all rock. You can read their post here!

Congratulations, Ariele! It's a great write up on your work!
ReplyDeletehi, following your blog since reading the makers profile. i am loving your work and glad to see the d*s post as well. thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteThank you, right back at you. I haven't been this inspired by an artist/makers' work in a long time. So delighted to have found your designs.
And thanks for the boot compliment- those puppies are my street protection. ;)

...I WOULD INTERN FOR YOU.
ReplyDeleteHah! Awesome! Amazing! I will keep you in mind for when I'm not crazy-intimidated about the idea of having someone "work" for me. Thanks Lizzie!
Deleteyou totally deserve the recognition - your work is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeletea serious brava indeed! i was so stoked to see your work on d*s, i think i was one of the first commenters on the d*s post. :) and quite seriously, if you do need interns, i am jumping up and down, furiously waving my internet hand in the air, and i'll quite literally work for peanuts. and maybe some sawdust. and calluses.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I am laughing out loud! You guys are awesome and hilarious. So much great humor here K! I have PLENTY of saw dust and will happily pay you in that. And calluses. Actually you can have all my sawdust for free, you don't have to work for it!
Deletei'm sure there's something we can do with all that sawdust that hasn't been done yet...lamps of molded sawdust? and glue? or we can make it rain, sawdust style?! oh, the possibilities! jeez, i'd even work for free, sawdust and all; calluses and sawdust up the nose are petty prices to pay for such learning and inspiration, ha. and we're neighbors, too! an internet wave to you from me also in bedstuy/clinton hill.
DeleteWow. I love everything.
ReplyDeleteI saw your work over at SF Girl by Bay. I don't often leave comments, but keep on doing your thing! Your work is stunning!

You (and those AMAZING headboards) deserve nothing less, you know. Congratulations for the D*S love. That headboard is to die for, truly! Can't wait to see what you work on next.
ReplyDeleteYour cat seems pretty unflustered by all the good press. She probably understands that she was made to be fussed over, as cats so reliably do. :)

ReplyDeleteI love your photos peeking into a dumpster, that's what I've been doing to the shame of my parents/friends..

I am speechless. This can be an improbable blog and really partaking too. Great work! That is not likely much coming from an amateur blogger like me, however it's all I might assume after enjoying your posts. Nice grammar and vocabulary in contrast to different blogs. You actually know what you are talking about too. So much that you just made me want to learn more. Your blog has developed into a stepping stone for me, my fellow blogger. Thank you for the detailed journey. I really enjoyed the 6 posts that I've read so far.
ReplyDeletespoke about you woodworker.... on my blog!!!! ;))
